From The Evil Desk Of Big Stein

"This is an 'A-Rod' day in New York."

What?

"A-Rod demonstrates the talent, hard work, and dedication of a true winner."

Ring count: Phil Seibel 1, Alex Rodriguez 0.

"A-Rod joins a long list of Yankee MVP legends who include Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Phil Rizzuto, Thurman Munson, Joe Gordon, Spud Chandler, Elston Howard, and Don Mattingly, as well as Babe Ruth who won a pre-BBWAA MVP award," he said.

And Derek Jeter won this year's "Continental Airlines Work Hard, Fly Right Player of the Year." So we got that goin for us, too! And let's hold off on Don Mattingly's "legend" status for the time being, huh? And Joe Gordon's lifetime average was .268 (.243 in postseason), and in seven seasons with the yanks, led the AL in errors four times. Also not very legendary.

Steinbrenner added, "All New York is elated."

"All" meaning roughly half of New York baseball fans, who comprise maybe an eighth of the city's population, if that. So, you know, "all," "a sixteenth," same thing.

Comments:
Rarely did "A-Dog", hit in the clutch, & Jason GiamBALCO, was the one, who changed DFYankees Fortunes.

EVERY Team which "Slappy Mc Bluelips", leaves, becomes more-competetive WITHOUT Him.

Here's hoping for a long stay with DFYankees, for "A-Hole,"

How would Steinbrenner know who is or is not elated in the first place? He's so out of touch he's forgotten what his feet look like.

This is funny to me considering how much Yankee fans professed to loathe the guy after these last two postseasons. I don't know if that's changed at all, but either way, it makes that comment funny.

Either it's totally false, or it's true and they're the bandwagon jumpers they always appear to be.

Yankee fans do not hate A-rod. Everyone hates the people that are better than they are. Red Sux fans especially. Red Sux fans need to worry more about their own team and how they just lost about half of their management and leave the 8x and counting AL EAST champs out of it. P.S. if Theo wants to be a towel boy or something the yanks probably have a spot for him...

Did I say that yankee fans hate A-Rod? (By the way, they overwhelmingly do.)

You know, when you said "8x AL EAST champs"--note, "East" doesn't need to be capitalized, it's not an acronym--that just really knocked me off my feet. I thought, That World Series championship was good, but to win the AL East, only a true champion can accomplish that. Kudos to the true champs, the New York yankees.

Anyway, check out this link: http://joyofsox.blogspot.com/2005/11/al-most-valuable-player.html

It will show you who was truly more valuable this season in the Ortiz vs. doR-A the ex-Slappah debate.

I initially read that title as "From the Evil Desk of Big Stain", which I'm sure says something appropriate.

I think the only thing ortiz is more valuable at is hot dog eating, and doesn't that happen like once a year or something. I'm sure you would know chunks you look like you like to eat a few as well. Anyway, AROD IS THE MVP, THE YANKS ARE AL EAST CHAMPS 8X, AND THE RED SOX ARE DONE!!!

I'm 5' 10" and tippin' the scales at around 140 with nickels in my pockets. I'm guessing you think that picture of a little kid is me. But it's good to know you like to tell little kids that they are fat.

Thanks for those caps, it really drove the point home, you neanderthal shithead loser.
