Kwiz MacFarlane

A poster of Eric Hipple appears in the background of what movie?

Clue, 2/17/08: Hipple was a Detroit Lion. In the 1980s. Detroit. '80s.

Comments:
Hometown Legend?

Nope.

Of course, every single movie I've never seen COULD have a poster of Hipple in it. (And what an incredible coincidence and crazy world that would be!)

So if you think you've got one, and it's not the one I'm thinking of, you'd have to supply visual evidence.

Gung Ho?

No on Ho.

"Beverly Hills Cop"

Nope. Nice try.

Doctor Detroit?

No on Dr. D.

"Action Jackson"

First time Action Jackson has been mentioned on my blog. But wrong.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles?

Nope.

RoboCop

Good to have you back. Even with an incorrect answer in tow.

For some reason, I thought this would be really easy. Easy for me to say, having just seen the film...

(Elipses do not equal clue.)

Beverly Hills Cop II

Aw crap, I want to take back my BHC II guess. Instead, I wish to guess Tiger Town.

Tiger Town is wrong. Consider Beverly Hills Cop II never guessed.

But here's a clue. Tiger Town has the right number of syllables. Another clue: It wasn't a sequel.

Evil Dead?

Not it.

True Romance

Nope. This was way before that.

"Grosse Pointe Blank"

Never mind the "Grosse Pointe Blank" guess...that was way after "True Romance." I'm gonna go with "Gremlins"

But see, now the syllables are wrong... unless you say it "Grem-a-lins." Or "The Gremlins." So, incorrect.

I will now give away the year of the movie: 1983.

Mr. Mom?

Mr. Mom??

I knew the syllables were wrong; but funny how you stretch out "Grem-a-lins" since this is how my younger brother used to say it, which is maybe why it stuck in my head...

Mr. Mom is it. The Hipple poster appears in the kids' room and is in at least two scenes.

I feel bad for Mike, as I shut down the computer at like 9:45 last night and didn't check my mail again until just now. On a normal night, I'm checking e-mail until 1 AM or so.

But nice job, Mike and Amy.

Kara, Matty, AJM: 0.2 each. Amy and Mike: 2.7 each.
